Changdeokgung Palace

On Friday we have finally managed to wake up earlier and decided to do some history-based sightseeing. We went to see the biggest and most important palace complex in Korea. According to the leaflet info, Changdeokgung Palace is a unique in the history of palace architecture in East Asia. It was constructed in 1405, the fifth year of King Taejong (1400-1418). All of the palace buildings were destroyed by fire during the Japanese invasion in 1592. Finally it was reconstructed in 1868. There is also a beautiful secret garden but it is not so impressive during winter time. We will go there once again in the summer.
